This year the Crib competition was particularly difficult to judge because all the entries were of such a high standard and such good quality.
They have been a most welcome addition to the podium level and added to the festive cheer. Well done all!

Once again staff teams entered this Christmas baking fun to raise money for GBS Open Day. Great fun and all for a good cause! On Thursday 1st December the Bayside Geography Department held a quiz night for all A Level students. Peers and teachers from Westside school were invited to participate and the evening proved to be a fun night of revision among other questions. A range of prizes from local stores were donated to the lucky winners and a total of £769.22 + €2 was raised in aid of GBC Open Day.
Year 10 students received their CREST Bronze certificates. The students investigated tropisms in plants, and how these affect the growth of roots and shoots plants.
Well done to all of them! £417 were raised in the month of November in support of the walnut campaign.
Mr Parral organised a football tournament for year 8 students and Mr Mauro encouraged male staff members to grow their moustaches and shave them off at the end of the month. Well done to both! |
