A group of pupils and staff baked rainbow decorated cakes to sell in aid of the school charity fund. A great effort overall!

Each year our history department runs a competition to encourage our students to research and learn about an important part of our history. The topic changes each year to reflect landmark occasions in Gibraltar. This year the students were tasked to research the history of our school which is celebrating its 50th birthday. The winners were: 1st prize -Elsie Griffiths and Erin Murray 2nd prize - Ayla Campbell Highly commended - Yarah Matos Highly commended - Daniella Vinales and Arianne Lopez-Trico Highly commended - Lauren Clinton Highly commended - Lauren Montado We celebrated the following awards also. These were: The Alistair Beanland geography award - Leah Tryb The Lee Figueras award - Nate Pereira The Jenise Payas maths award - Dylan Risso We also took the opportunity to introduce the new head boy and the responsibility team to the students.
Bayside School, at the old site on Bayside Road, opened its doors as a modern comprehensive school in September 1972. This academic year is the school's 50th anniversary and we want to celebrate this important birthday with an event which brings our school community together.
