Making a Healthy Start to School

Moving towards a clean and healthy start to school, the Ministry of Public Health, the GHA and the Department of Education would like to highlight a number of considerations to bear in mind.

Please find attached a number of resources to promote the health and wellbeing of our children (downloads available through the buttons at the bottom). 

·   Hygiene (Handwashing & Personal hygiene)
·   Easily transmitted bugs (Head lice & Scabies)
·   Sun Safety (Considerations & Drinking water)
·   Child-friendly Food (Healthy breakfast & healthy lunchbox)

​Please note: if a child is feeling unwell or has any of the following symptoms, s/he should not come to school.
  • Fever
  • General aches or headache
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Nasal congestion or a runny nose
  • Loss of smell or taste
