Geography provides the knowledge and understanding necessary to make informed decisions about the world around you and the global issues that impact daily life. Students develop key skills in data analysis, communication, and digital technology, while gaining a solid foundation in the principles of physical and human geography essential for careers in environmental science, urban planning, and more.
Our team of expert geography teachers utilises a wide range of equipment, tools, software, and hands-on activities to deliver an engaging and dynamic curriculum. The Geography Club meets weekly, offering students additional opportunities to explore the subject. Alongside this, we organise various trips related to the topics studied. These include fieldwork in Jimena, Spain at GCSE level, and at A Level, students have the opportunity to take part in a field trip to Slapton, Devon, to collect data for their NEAs, as well as an exciting educational trip to Iceland.
Curriculum
We teach to the AQA GCSE and A-Level specifications.
