In November Bayside School participated in UK Parliament Week and in the Make Your Mark Ballot. Our year 12 and 13 students wrote some interesting questions and a group of them posed these questions to Mr Speaker as part of a wider discussion. This year, they asked schools to take part in a brand-new initiative called the ‘Make Your Mark Vote’. This is a consultation for 11 to 18 year olds within the British Overseas Territories to decide the topic their Youth Representatives will raise during the UK Youth Parliament sitting, at a special segment dedicated to the Overseas Territories. These are the results from our school: Bayside was very lucky to have Sir Lindsay Hoyle himself present the certificates to our students. He was able to spend some time with us and answer our students' questions. We absolutely loved having him visit us and hope he can do so again in the future.
