Bayside takes part in the "Common Goal" Charity

Bayside entered two teams in the inaugural “Common Goal Cup”, a charity five-a-side football tournament in aid of “Learning From Auschwitz”, a charity which takes sixth form students to visit the Auschwitz concentration camps in a bid to teach them about the horrors of racism and prejudice and to remember all those who tragically lost their lives in the Holocaust.
In an effort to promote cultural and religious acceptance and diversity, each team was to be made up of a religious and cultural mix. The tournament, which included teams from local businesses and organisations, proved to be a huge success, raising over £2500 for the charity and Bayside Interfaith narrowly losing out in the final 2-0 to Hospital Athletic.
